I noticed that a lot of DS owners on this site have a 15t front sprocket.

When I ran the number on the Calculator it slows top speed in each gear down.

What is that advantage of the 15t sprocket?

I installed a 15t sprocket because I changed tire size (22's rear, 23's front).

http://www.glamisdunes.net/ It gives a little lower end power and returns to near stock speeds if you are using a taller rear tire. I ride 99% Dunes and I am going lower than stock 16/40 I am going to 15/43.

That, and it saves wear and tear on the chain roller, an added plus.
