<< well i tried takin my endcap off, wow are those on tight, 2 of them are like stripping and the other my allen key starts bending, and this was right after i rode it, is there an easier way? >>
Like all the screws and bolts on the DS they are very tight, the heads strip out before they loosen, the carb screws for example are the same way. I used vise grips on the screws then replace them with small hex headed bolts that you can get a wrench on next time.

Sorry I couldn't get on this site sooner, I might have saved you some trouble. Living in Oregon, we have some very stringent noise regulations at the dunes I ride on. No pipe on the market comes close to passing so I thought I could open the flow up a little on the stock exhaust without the noise of a slip on.
I ride with a friend who has virtually the same bike minus the exhaust mods, so every time we ride I can compare performance. I have cut the tubes shorter, tried it without the spark arrestor, reshaped the arrestor top to flow better, reshaped the tube ends and finally cut the tubes flush with the cap. I think I have tried 4 or 5 configurations and while I picked up a pretty snappy bottom end, My friend continues to beat me in the drags every time. Every mod I have made seems to make my bike softer on the top end. And yes I have rejetted. I welded the tubes back on to stock and definately lost the low end snap. Now I need another trip to the dunes to see if I really got the top end back.
There are people who apparently have had good luck opening their cap up by cutting the end out and running a 2 to 2 1/2 inch pipe into it, however knutz tested one design and found it worse than stock. I couldn't get away with that with our noise regulations anyway.
What have I learned? Somebody spent alot of time designing the stock DS exhaust and its hard to improve upon it with a couple cuts. Spend the dough on a slip-on or find someone on this forum to make a new end cap if you can deal with the noise.
