450 class sport quad
#1
OK I know Rotax has every type of motor made, when will theese guys make a quad that can be riden in tight woods and MX? I could care less about top speed and how big the motor is if the quad does not work were I ride it is of no use to me.

Who are you talking about? Rotax doesn't make quads.LOL
Why doesn't some of the other companies make a quad as wide and long as the DS - because much like you, I also believe that if their stuff won't work where I ride then they're of no use to me either!
To each their own - nobody makes a quad like Bomb, and Bomb doesn't make one like anybody else.

well bombardier (rotax motors) is coming with SDI (semi direct injection) engines in the snowmobile world pretty soon so expect to see the bring back of 2 stroke quads from bomb in the near future,50% less pollution with 25% better gas mileage...

The answer to your 450 class Bombardier question is most likely. I have spoken to some Bombardier reps, and it is certian they will release a bike smaller than the DS650. From what I heard you can probably expect to see either a 400,440 or 450 engine in an aluminum chassis similar to the Cannondale, but witout the fuel injection. I will be attending a Bombardier function in October "somewhere in the California desert" where they will most likely unveil the new quad. If they do, I'll try to get info and pix and post them.:

Bomb also applied their direct injection system to their marine 2-stroke kickers(evinrude). I hope they do this with all their motor markets, especially the quad world. Cleaner 2-strokes = less ammo for the treehuggers.
