That's funny! Bombastic! Also sometimes these things run out of gas too, which will cause them not to start! I know this from personal experience.

<< hey, my ds did that today, we could'nt start it, but we did push start it, it maid some sort of ticing soud when we pushd the starter, the sound came from the battery, could this be a died cell?????

thanks

Bill is right, that is the starter solenoid that makes that noise. The solenoid itself is good it makes that noise as a result of a bad battery. Here is what happens: When you hit the start button this provides voltage to the starter solenoid which close the circuit from the battery to the starter. If the battery is almost dead, once theis circuit is complete it will provide a high current draw and then the battery voltage will drop below the threshold which is needed by the stater circuit to hold the solenoid closed. Once it opens back up the voltage jumps back up above the needed threshold and engages the solenoid again only to repeat the cycle. This all happens so fast that it makes a ticking noise. the solenoid is never engaged long enough to kick the motor over.

Rocky, after i push start it, it would start for about an hour and then it makes that noise again and wont start, so we push start it and it goes all over again, so is it the battery?

thanks

Id bet my money its the battery. After you push start it and run for a while it will charge the battery just enough to start it again. The battery will drain quick and after an hour it will make the solenoid click. I'd have the battery tested to confirm that it is bad.

If you have a bad battery, replace it. The bomb has a computer controlled ignition system, if it doesnt have proper voltage to operate the CDI can and will kill your bike and you could end up stranded. It sounds to me like it is definatly the battery.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong but the starter solenoid or maybe its the realy is mounted directly behind the battery so that is more than likely the sound your hearing.

I doubt it. Yours sounds like it has a bad cell or two. Once this happens its just a matter of time before it won't even charge a little. Have autozone or walmart do a capacity test on it.
