Does wind resistance really matter anyway? I mean sure it will hinder you ability to pull 9500rpm, but if you are indeed pulling 9500 rpm then math is all thats needed, with the exception of clutch slippage. Wind, uphill, downhill - who cares, rpm is rpm.
I know that 9500 is unachievable in fifth gear with a stock motor (and aftermarketcdi), but dsmike is far from stock from what I hear. It'll be interesting.

my motor peaks power right around 9500. i know the motor will pull to peak power in 5th gear. does anyone not think any motor will not pull to its peak power in the highest gear? i don't think it will pull more than it peak. my motor still pulls good up to 10,500RPMS.(about 52 or 53HP)
AZsand posted that he ran 115MPH in a mile race in the sand does anyone know what gearing he is running?
