Replacement for carb mount K&N
#1
Does anybody have a part # for the carb mount uni filter. How do they
fit. I have now ruined my 2nd K&N and outer wear and will not buy another until they come up with a better fit. I have shimmed my seat and filed away part of the frame but it still does not fit that well. Also don't like the way my seat fits with it shimmed in the front.

Here is what I did to fix the problem that you talk about. First you take the stock air tube that went from the air box to the carb and cut it at the first first rib from the end where it used to connect to the carb. Then mount that to the carb and the filter to the end on the air tube piece. It will angle down the filter and set it back enough to make it stop rubing on the seat. I have rode with it this way for about 4 rides now and have had no problems at all.
