Default possible web cam problem?

Hey guys, was wondering if any of you guys have had any problems with your auto decompressor sticking or is this normal when the cams are new? You can move it with your finger easily but the little spring doesnt have enough pressure to kick it out on its own! Is this possibly just because of the break in coating that the cams are coated with or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and keep the rubber side down!!

You should clean out the pin hole withsome emery and also the Roll pin. Make sure you put plenty of lube on it also. Don't worry because when you are doing your dry testing to get your oil pressure up it will usually loosen up some.

Quadloco...sounds like webcam is having the same problems that hotcams is having. My decompressor worked fine by hand..but within 20 minutes it hit a rocker arm and was history. RaptorRRC's bike has gone through 2 pins as well. Hotcams has stopped production of their cams until they figure out the probelm. RaptorRRC has been talking with them for a while now, and they are going to be making a new pin for their cams..that will actually work. I think your best bet would be to call up webcams and explain the situation, because it does not sound normal.

FYI...My webcam 696/697 cam did not have the problem you are referring too..so maybe it is a problem with their new batch.

Well David,

That's not hard to figure out, I have to thank you for calling it to our attention!!! The best part is it wasn't to bad to figure out. And the remedy was fast in getting done.

Raptor RcR,
You need to contact Hot Cams and they'll get you a correct pin right out.

Tony

Tony, your icon isn't showing up. I liked your other name Hotcam better. As for the problems, it is being taken care of thanks to you and I thank you.

For others wondering. Hotcams customer service has been first rate from our first conversation. There was no accusations just questions and genuine interest to get the problem resolved. I thank you for that also Tony.
