hey guys,

my cousin has a 650 an is having problems with the timing chain slack between the cam and the crank opposite side of the tensioner.. at idle it runs fine. when you give it gas the timing chain makes a rattling noise. he has installed high comp piston, and even a new timing chain. can anybody help with this issue? thanks

 

the guys at woods are making a manual tensionar, they may be ready now.

 

mostly likely the tensioner failed or was installed backwards, in which case it is now damaged so either way try a new tensioner.Around $30 @ the dealership
