Default Store my Baja for the Winter

Hi everyone,

I have store my baja for the first time for the Winter in my garage. I will purchase a skidoo for the Winter. I would like to know, if I store my Baja in my garage, do I need to put something in the fuel tank ??

Someone here have already put something in the fuel to preserve the good condition of the ATV ????

Thanks Everyone!

You can put a little stabil in there (available at all auto parts stores)
Just be sure to read the directions and run the machine before you store it (to get it in the carb)

Taking out the spark plugs and "fogging" the cyls with oil is a good idea, too.

If you want to go all out, take off the intake and plug it with cloth. Spray down the parts that might rust with rust preventative spray (even the brake rotors, if they're not stainless steel, you can clean them in the spring)

Wash it, cover it and wait for spring.

I would drain the fuel tank, take off the carb bowl and drain it, drain the oil, take out a spark plug and oil the piston and cylinder, clean it real well, put it on a stand(don't want flat spots on your tires), and cover it up. Also you might want to get a battery tender to keep the battery charged up while not in use.

I have always just used the sta-bil and start adding it to the fuel system about a month before I think I am going to stop using the quad.

I do keep the batteries charged.

DO NOT DRAIN THE OIL AND LEAVE IT EMPTY. The oil is there as a preservant.
