poke a hole at the base of the filter, as close to the clamp as possible. make sure and run the feed line from the bowl the long way around to the top of the filter. ( assuming you are running a clamp on air filter) the instructions say to drill a hole in the carb i don't think so!! running it thru the filter works fine. sorry no pics.

I've seen a pic on dirt wheels of a 400ex that had it on the air box bot (between the carb & air box)
Were does the blue hose go (did you take off the black hose on the stock carb & connect it the
blue hose that come the dial-a-jet) or did you have to dill the hose and mount the fitting on the float bowl???????????????????

the black hose is a vent line for the carb, do not attach anything to this. you will need to drill and tap the large bowl nut and screw in the nipple supplied. run blue hose from the nipple up to the dial-a-jet housing (run it the long way around) see the instructions for best mounting for the housing. running it into the tube between filter and carb is ok but just get it as close to the carb mouth as possible.
