I just ordered a dial-a-jet for my kfx 700, does anybody have anything to say about this product? I am hoping that the dial-a-jet along with my new dmc alien exhaust will kick it up a notch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm also wondering about this muzzy exhaust, who makes it? I think I must have missed the boat on that one.

dial a jet the boats still out on that as far as i am concerned and the muzzy exhaust i missed it. pipe city is where to find em.

 

Overall, I'm happy with my DAJs...but I was dissappointed to find out after I installed them that I had to rejet my carbs (just the main jets) in order to make the DAJs work properly. I had originally bought the DAJs at the same time that I did pipe and airbox mods...and I had originally hoped to avoid rejetting the carbs altogether (which was wrong!).

Anyway, my DAJs work fine now that I have my carbs jetted right (I'm 3 sizes down from stock on the main jets)... I don't think I'll ever need to adjust the DAJ settings unless I go to the mountains or something like that. Honestly, I think I will just rejet my carbs (without DAJs) the next time I buy and modify a quad b/c I'm not sure there is a big advantage with DAJs unless you often ride at very different elevations.
