Does anyone make a 520 chain and spockets for a DS???
I need to stay with my axle and stuff, instead of buying everything for a banshee to convert it over. I thought I read some place that someone made 520 sprockets for the DS. Surely someone makes them.
KMduner,
With all the people around here going "high" this and "larger" that. I need all the help I can get.
Well, actually Dsmike is having a +4 swingarm made for me, and I thought the 530 chain would be pretty heavy made even longer, so I was checking on the lighter stuff.

Don't be too sure biggerisbetter. I've been unable to find a steel rear sprocket for the DS that's any larger than stock (40-tooth). There are lots of aluminum ones, but I need a STEEL 43-tooth sprocket. It's unbelievable but true!

I know you can get steel front and aluminum rear in 520 width, but don't remember who makes it. I read it in an article about a blue project quad in one of the mags about a year ago. It said going to the 520 and aluminum rear shed like 1.5lbs. Doesn't seem like much considering, but every little bit can help.
I looked up the stock DID 530 chain in the dennis kirk bike catalog - tensil strength difference from it to 520 was not enough to make me care. Pitch is the same, its just wider so it doesn't wear as fast. If I can get steel rears in 520 one day, then I'll convert when my stock wears out, if ever, to save money and weight at the same time.

It is made out of chromoly. I traded a guy for a frame. You might know the guy from LS he runs around with Rodney Ogden. He builds swing arms. His name is Greg Beauchamp. Also how do I get a pic of my bike by name like yours. Hey bigger I have a axle and hubs also for sale also got the brake rotor hub. the only thing I do not have is a carrier or the sprocket hub. Will make a good deal on a 6 over swing arm that runs the stock carrier.
