Default Suggestions for First ATV / Bombadier.

I was currently thinking of getting a Utility 4x4, A first for me. I have two sons and I thought possible some time next year on purchasing Quad. I would like it for Plowing snow, pulling my two boys and some recreational riding. I've done some research and really like the Bombadier 400 taxter. I'm 35 5'9 200lbs. That recent 18" of snow has me convinced on getting one. I starting my research early and so far I like the (Acrtic Cat 400 mrp) (Polaris Sports 400) and the Bombadier traxter XT. All are in my price range. Any and all input would greatly be appretiated. I like both the Polaris and Bombadier True 4 wheel "The Bombs rear Radiator", and I like Artic Cats Weight, price Height Clearance. Thanks.

I'm a big fan of Arctic Cat - I've owned two and both have lived up to all expectations and never gave me a bit of trouble. They are reliable, and when its time for routine maintenance nothing is easier to work on. They come apart very easy and convenient, with minimal tools required. And that new convertible rack system is awesome.
I own a DS too, so I can vouch for Bomb quality as well. The Traxter and Quest appear to be super machines with the same workmanship the DS has. Have you considered the new Outlander? I know little about it, but from what I've read it seems to be worth a look.

you can't go wrong with any of the ATV's you listed. Oh course, being a Bombardier owner (I own two Quest 650XT's), I am bias toward the Bombs

The Polaris and AC will have the better ride and GC. The Traxter has the better 4x4 system and is overall a most stable platform.

The Traxters tranny would be better suited to plowing, but the AC and Polaris have the easy to use CVT transmissions.

The TraxterXT comes with a winch and better stock tires than the AC or Polaris (unless the Polaris has the RawHide tires).

I think Bombardier is still offering the free 3 year extended warrenty on the Traxter.

Hard decision, but as I said you can't go wrong with any of the ATV's you listed (try to get an 03 if you are going Polaris). Let me know if you have any more questions regarding the Traxter - I don't own one but I'm familiar with them and they are very similar to my Quests.

Cheers,

Thanks everyone for your input, your making my decision easier. I think money wise and over all I like the Arctic Cat 400, I like the independent sus, ground clearance and price. I could change my mind but for a first quad that might be it. I will get more information and get back with you all when I purchase my choice. I probable won't be until the end of the year when I can really work out a deal. Now my only other delema is where to ride, I live in southern New Jersey and to get my money's worth I'd have to travel, No truck no travel. GEeez!
