How wide is too wide?
#1
I plan to build a custom quad and would like to ask this on the Bomb forum since these bikes already sit at 50 inches width. This will be close to the weight of the DS but around 8 to 10 inches longer and use 25 inch tires. Seat height is up from the DS as well. I'm thinking of going 52" to 54". Can anyone think of a down side to this? 54" would still load in the back of a truck. I want it as stable as possible since it will be pretty fast.

It's also too wide if it exceeds the width of the gate at the ride area.
The place where I ride a lot has a 54" gate to keep Jeeps and buggys out.
