yes you will need two torque wrenches, i think the cam carrier bolts are like 89 inch pounds that would be something like 7.4 foot pounds and most foot pound wrenches are not correct at that low of settings

You may get by with just an in/lb torque wrench. Multiply your highest ft/lb torque by 12 to get in/lb and see if your in/lb torque wrench will go 20% higher then that. I'm not sure what all you're doing so I don't know what your highest torque will be. Most likely you will need both.

stud a word of caution. it's a long trip down to little sahara when you can't ride you'r machine because of mechanical problems (some of which happen because we can't leave it to those in the know to fix our stuff) i know my cams loosened up last spring and broke, i sat most the trip out just consider having the dealer do it the right way and consentrate on what you know how to do. no offense but do you about the shim kits needed to do this operation?

Jeffroe..
No offence at all. I am by no means a motor person. I just don't have the 150 bucks for the dealer... I was trying to save the money and learn it for my self.. I figured I could do it.. I have a friend that has a micrometer to measure the existing shims. Not quite sure on what size to get but I will post my current gaps and shims and see if I can get some help..
