Default 1st time on Dyno

Some time this week my DS650 should be on the Dyno what should I expect? I have never had a machine on one.
I have all bolt on upgrades W/B E-series, RWR CDI, K&N air filter w/o outerwear in air box with lid on, Main dyno jet 185 needle clip ring slot 3 from the top, and 22x11x9 XTC.
My gearing is the stock 16/40.
I have seen a lot of posting on the subject’s of the dyno machine. Is there any suggestions before or during the Dyno test.
What type of #’s should I expect?

I would recomend the 15/40 gearing. By chaning your tires you reduced the amount of HP to the ground making your dyno less. 15/40 with 22 tires is slightly taller then the stock but its close...

Take some main jets with you, I assume you have the Dynojet kit based on the jet size you are running. Change the main jet until you get the highest HP numbers on the dyno. You can adjust the needle and pilot, if needed, afterwards. I wouldn't bother changing the gearing if you are happy with the way the gearing/tire combo works for your riding style and terrain. Changing the gearing will have no effect on the HP produced on the dyno. You should see 38-42 HP, just an educated guess. But don't put too much importance on the number, a dyno is just a measurement tool best used for before and after tests while in the process of modifying your motor. Dyno results are too inconsistent to count on the number solely.

Call On-Dunes or Ron Wood and order a direct mount K&N. Do a test with one and without one. Once you see the difference, you won't go back.

Do get the outerware for the direct mount K&N.

I considered removing the air box and going to a carb mount air filter.
But I live in Washington and it seems that everywhere I ride there’s water. Especially this time of year!

And I can’t keep myself away from the mud (:

As for the gearing I was thinking about going to a 15/40 and see how that works then maybe going to a 15/42.

I have the Graydon slip on, lectron 44, uni carb mount, RWR cdi and I ran 49.66 on ohton's dyno at FSW. I had 14\40 gearing. I'm guess you'll be in the low to mid 40's. All I have more than you is the lectron carb.
