If you have never seen a Quest in person i suggest you go ASAP!!! it's like comparing a Hummer (quest) to a 1/2 ton truck (Chev, ford, dodge.........) They are very well built and wide. for the trails the p650 might be a little better.

 

my dad has a quest 500 and it is definitely a decent amount wider than my prairie, probably about 3 or 4 inches maybe. but it does decent on the trails from what he says. he keeps up with my prairie usually. its a great machine. but really is made for more work than play.

 

Bought a 650 Quest and Polaris 750 at a Dealer auction clearence sale. Already have a 650 prarie in the family. The Quest is faster and even outran the polaris, Ride and comfort I feel the Prarie has that along with some of the extras like diff. Lock. Now the prarie has a screwed up clutch and ratlle in the rear so How long will they last ? My wife took her 500 Quest for a swim now will only idle. about ready to push it back in. Go out and ride them. Our club runs both in the pack so we can swap and check things out. Gook Luck.

 

I currently own a Bomb. Quest 650XT and it's great as a Utility atv but only so-so as a trail machine. Just not designed for any kind of REAL off-road use. Too heavy, too stiff in the susp., Full time 4x4 no 2x4 option, S.R.A. design and worst of all, the ground clearance is a pittiful 9"
I must stress that as a WORK atv, I could not be happier. It will and has done all I've expected. I tow with it and plow snow every winter as well as other odd jobs
