they taper bore the carbs on the snowmoblies here all the time, so my friend has the woods stage one, and had a stock machine. so he had his taper bored and we couldn't tell a real change one way or the other, i did have the carb on my sons blaster and heis pleased with the results, wins a lot of races. the guy said the way he had to taper bore the stock carb it was hard to do. anyways that is what we have seen , seems it should work but, i wouldn't try at this point for a little more you could get a 44mm lectron

I have the 44mm Lectron and want to try something else. I'm pleased with the carb but I'm curious about other carbs.

It's the same as the TM, it would help on bottom but I would think that you'd feel a better pull all the way thru.

I want the hsr 42. Are you talking about the Harley carbs on ebay or where are they. I guess I could buy the new cable from RW and direct mount the filter or would I still be able to use the air box.

here

You should be able to use your stock cable and throttle. Stock is 42mm so it'll open up the hsr just fine. You'll be able to use your air box or go with the carb mount.
