Went to LS in ok and the choke fell out of my stock carb. What are you guys using on a mostly stock bike. Interested in a 42 flat slide mikuni. Help please.

If you are going to spend the money you might want to go for a mikuni TM45. I hear that this carb is the sh%t for the ds.

I thought that 45 was for more than a stock motor.

If you have an endcap I think your exhaust would do, but get a carb mount K&N Filter and that should do it. I would say if your going to buy a new carb that would be the way to go.

After my first trip to the sand I dont think I will return. So the carb mount wont work. I ride on the trails and up up up the mountains where there are alot of water crossings. So you would rule out the 42 flat slide.

The e-Bay pic. looks like a HSR/TM 45 to me. May want to check with the owner. If it is truely a 45 (not a 42 like he has listed) you should bid it up to $250

Setting one of these up will take a little work but, the information is available here. If you are keeping the rest of the bike stock, the 42 may be easier for you.
