Went Riding Yesterday...
#1
Just getting used to my Baja... It is starting to warm up here in Ohio and I am loving the 70 degree weather!!
I finally got some dry ground to play on *Traction* and I am really loving the pipe on my ride..
I was hammer down in 4th gear, coming around a turn near some corn fields and hit a big *** mud puddle and whoosh.. completely soaked... And go figure, I had my goggles off, cause they were fogging up
My buddy was laughing at me trying to wipe my eyes while nasty muddy water was dripping off my helmet....
The one thing about riding wheelies on a Baja, the gearing is so tight, you do not have very long between shifts...
At the end of the day I was getting used to the balance point and really started nailing them... I dropped the clutch in second, got the front end up really high, higher then usual...
Right when it started heading back down, I powershifted into 3rd and picked the front back up and held it till I ran out of gear...
Tried to hit 4th but it just wasnt happening
What a blast!!!

Heh, I ordered mine direct from Yoshimura.. Just the slip on though.. It is way louder and with jetting it has a bunch more mid to top end...
Also removed the air box lid...
I was thinking about new gearing for trail and track riding...
I would buy another Yosh pipe and It was delivered in about a week.
Total was $350.00 plus shipping..
Link above is now fixed,.,

That pipe is pretty tight but I want the full unit. I put a K&N filter and Ron Wood CDI on already. I have the dynojet jet kit but I am waiting to install my pipe before I mess with the jetting. I also removed my airbox. My buddy just bought an 03 limited edition Raptor. It is pretty quick but not as quick as mine. The CDI really helped her out. One thing I noticed about the DS and the Raptor is throttle response. I have a lot more. I mean a lot! I haven't even put my new needle in yet.
