stage two
i've been running my stage two for awhile now and i'm starting to think i may be missing some torque, it revs great but if the ground is wet and the paddles are having to move wet sand it doesn't seem to have the power to pull thru, i've ran other stage twos and actually out pulled them but, i sure think something isn't right.

the woods a-1's and that is what i've been wondering, although they seem to work great for alround trail riding, and when it comes to pulling the front up and wheelies it is great, i think i need to play with the gearing a little more, and my wifes quad runs great, but when we bought we got three and all three were the same on power,

wel i have great starts seldom do i lose off of the line it is the torque to push thru on the steep part of the hill, bigger thought it could be the cams, like i said it pulls hard it just is when the sand is wet and you get to the steep part of the hill, and right now it is steep, but when i can see my wifes quad start to pull on me i know there is a problem and i do think i believe in to many paddles now, on the 20" tires and the low gearing my wifes pulls hard, but with the 22" and 10 paddle i think that is starting to hold me back.i have started to wonder if maybe i'm getting to much fuel but i'll try a few more things this weekend

LOL!!! I think we OVER analyzed the hell out of this problem today! LMAO!
You said when the sand is dry and loose your quad performs much better then when the sand is wet and heavy. TOO many paddles makes perfect since in this situation. The 10 paddle haulers are simply dragging you down!! You can minimize this effect by jetting down, but on you next tire purchase by 8 paddles(if you stay with a stock swing-arm).
I run 9 paddles, BUT I have 23" tires, so the paddles are spaced like a 22" 8 paddle.
