i read in other forums how a quad will beat a this or that, it is kind of funny. i do a lot of racing when we ride heck the little girl will race the lt-80 all day long. and just in case your wondering the lt will take the breeze for about 150 ft. well i've noticed that people never tell of the shape of the quads just that they won. one of my bad moments is that 400ex? will line up with me and i try to give them a few quads head start, seems a lot of the times there kids, well every once in awhile i get a bad whipping turns out i didn't know what kind of honda it was. and when it comes to raptors seems the ds will take about 95% of them no problem but then you find the one that ate steriods as a 80,then what about the 250r that are held together with bailing wire, there fun because those guys are just happy to be there, then one will come out that is nice and lay a major a$$ whopping on you. they seem to be some of the fastest quads i see. well anybody else ever have a moment to share, we have plenty of moments that are wins, but what about the loses? the oddest one i have had was against a bayou that had a street bike engine, it had the racks on it still, i know the engine change was the difference but when you pull up to the line with a group you don't always check engines right off, it was pretty funny to me but some of the fast banshees that lost, seemed a little hurt.

 

I got Spanked when i first got my Raptor by a kid on a Z400, Could not launch and keep the front down for nothing, but my brother which is 11 years younger than me beat him every time, go figure.

 

that is what i like is people seldom say hey i lost to a what ever this weekend, any other humble pie stories?

 

Beenn humbled by a couple of Polaris 400 scramblers. Looked pretty stock except for the pipe, but what I didn't know was he had EVERY thing done to the motor that 2500 could buy![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] It was "unexpected" when he blew past me on his back wheeles, and put about 10 lenths on me.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] Then thiers the occasional SNEAKY PETE 400ex(that just aint right).

How 'bout victories over bikes? When I just had a pipe, jet kit, CDI & carb mount K&N I beat both a KX and CR 250 by two or three quad lengths. That was unexpected, at least to me....

 

Look for the swing arm, usually if they got more than a 6 inch extension, you dont want none!!

I've lost a few times to Rodsquads' Z400, but it has everything done to it. Hi-comp, cams, port, carb, pipe, CDI, etc. still, it's a Z. on bad launches, I have also lost a few times to my dad just out in the back yard, but I don't feel too bad about it, cause I beat him 9 out of 10 times.
