Well, one month of ownership and this will be the second trip to the dealer. Has anyone else had problems with anti freeze leaking from the water pump. Mine started on Sunday and progressively has gotten worse, from a few dribbles to drip drip drip after drag racing the DS about 8 times straight. This was also after jumping pond banks. Do you think there is any significance with the hard riding or just a mfg problem? I did tighten the allan bolts but it did not help. Any suggestions?

I've never heard of this problem.

One problem I had was an oil leak. It appeared to be coming from underneath the engine from the crankcase bolts. I tried to tighten the bolts but they were already tight. As it turned out, the oil was not leaking from this location, but from the oil filter cover which had come loose. My point is be sure to identify, for sure, where the source of the leak is.

ScoobyDFW--- My dealership is very service oriented. They offered to order a new waterpump sight unseen for me and then have be bring it to them and install it. I told them not to until they are sure of what the problem is. My bike is virtually bran new and I had three automotive mechanics look at it as well. It is coming from the water pump area and yes everything on it is very tight.

Could there be a blockage in the cooling sytem somewhere causing high pressure to build up and then the leak? When the DS is idling below the temperature that the thermostat opens, can you squease the cooling system hoses? Are they pressurized? They should be under more pressure than when the DS is cold, but you can still squease them. Does the leak occur immediately after a cold start or does the leak occur only when the DS gets hot and the thermostat opens?

Well, the leak was fixed, due to the seals in the water pump. But, I had it a week and it is leaking worse than before. It is back with the dealer again. This makes 4 trips. Any lemon laws known off the tops of any ones head?

Not sure if it changes for each particular state, but here in Michigan, it's 3 times for the same problem and it's considered a lemon.

Yeah sorry, no interest so I did not post. I got it back from the dealer the day before memorial day weekend started. They replaced the whole water pump assembly and it seems to be fixed. It may have been a shaft that was not truly round and wobbling.

They came back Friday night after hours to let me get my DS. Of course, the owner's wife came so no one there to help me lift it. What did I do, I put it in my truck by myself only with her guiding the tires. It is heavy, but men should be handling it not children anyways.
