I took mine off because it's easier for them.
when he rolls the axle on the dies, and verifies just how bent it is... the "hubs" would just get in the way, whether or not it's wheel, sprocket or brake hubs. There's no reason to NOT take it off is there?! I mean... why not remove it?!
