Default Piston & cams?

If your bike is stock you dont need to run race gas. It will run better on pump gas. Woods 11.5 comp piston only needs half and half. To me the easiest way to get speed is alcohol but you have to change carbs. Around 500.00 and alcy is cheaper than race gas. Let me know what type of riding you are doing. Ive tried several different combinations and would love to give you some ideas.

Yes everyone I know runs pump fuel for a 11.5 piston. If you are going to run race fuel I would go as high as possible on compression. At least 12.5. Just that alone will run with a DS with a 11.5 and sport cams IMHO and from what I have seen. hold off on cams until the motor needs it.

JMAC checked the pics and your bike looks great. Good idea on the rims.

How much power will you get from JUST an 11:1 or 11.5:1, with a pipe, K&N filter, and jet kit? Estimated..

Thanks for the compliment. I run the race gas mixed with super unleaded 91 octane. I mix it 50/50.

I mainly ride trails and some track use.

Why should I hold off on cams?

I dont think that cams will give an increase equal to there cost with springs. The stock cams are great until porting or maybe dual carbs are applied.
