Busted my seat!

Busted my seat!
A recent trip to Dumont left me with both of those forward mounted steel glide holder downer things busted off from the inner plastic and possibly was not locked down properly, but I don't know for sure, $ 300.00 for new seat. Anybody had this happen and got any fixes for this besides bunjee cords or velcro?
