Help I live in the land of California
#11
I have 2 Kazuma 110s, red sticker 4 strokes. I am happy with the bikes, but extremely dissapointed in the dealer and the state.
The dealer knew I wanted green sticker bikes and sold me the Kazumas because I didn't know any better at the time. He told me that since these are 4 stroke quads they would be green stickered in CA. I'm not sure if I have any recourse or not with this guy, since it would be my word against his.
The state has about pushed my tolerance with these ridiculous regulations restricting the use of certain off road vehicles. Not only are California's red sticker regulations off base with their approach to reduce emission pollutants but they are inconsistant as well. My neighbor has a 1992 2 stroke KTM that has a green sticker and I have to have red stickers on my Kazumas!!?
Now I hear that the sale of 2 stroke engines in CA will be completely prohibited after 2005. Geniuses at work right there I tell you!!!
Like most of you though, I am nobody, just another unthinking, uncaring offroader with a complete disregard for our environment.........................whatever. I guess if we had pockets as deep as the sierra club (intentionaly not capitalized) we would have lobbyist working for us to keep areas open and loosen riding restrictions.
Ok, done ranting now.

I am sorry to hear about that. I have been trying to warn people about the laws for each unit in C.A but I guess you cannot get to everyone. You also have to be careful some dealer are selling the Kazuma MKII 150 or 150 Falcon's to the state of C.A and you cannot get any sticker for this unit at all. The only unit you can get a green stick for at this time with any of these products are the Yamoto 110's.

I purchased a Yamoto 50 ATV from a local So Cal dealer in September and my green sticker just arrived in the mail from the DMV. The date of manufacture on my 50 was March 2005 and Patriot has posted a letter in June stating that several of their machines are now green sticker approved.
