I just got word today from Yamoto that there 70cc ATV's and 50cc ATV's can now be sold to the state of California and will get a green sticker!!!

I just tried to order one yesterday and they told me that it wouldn't be shipped to cali due to the fact of this issue. So i ended up getting a unison desert cat 50. What bike is better. I see that the desert cat is stronger then the yamoto but is the desert cat a green sticker also???

just registered yamoto 70 here in cali and it was registered as a red sticker. 8th letter was a "c". no green sticker for yamoto 70

The California Air Resources Board has approved five models of ATV’s and six models of Dirt Bikes and awarded CARB Green Sticker certification, which allows Yamoto by Patriot™ vehicles full access in all off-road areas on a year-round basis.

I purchased a Yamoto 50CC ATV in late Sept 05 from a local dealer here in California. I was told it would register as a green sticker machine. I was worried when I noticed the manufacture date was March 2005 and the letter Patriot posted regarding this matter was June 2005. My worries were unfounded and a Green Sticker arrived from the DMV. Just wanted to let everybody know that these Yamotos WILL get a green sticker!

I have been taking my son out every weekend for a little ride and he loves it. It appears to be a well built machine and if you are in CA I think it should be your only choice because it WILL get a green sticker. None of the big name brands can say that, I checked with them ALL!
