I just purchased another chinese atv yesterday for a great price off of someone. The quad is having starter issues. It's a 200cc utility quad from 2004 that has the lifan knockoff engine. When you try and start it the starter silinoid just clicks. I took the starter out and it does nothing. How do I check to see if the starter works or not? I s the starter silinoid bad? The battery is fully charged. Please help.

Update: I did manage to jump the starter from the silinoid, but it started to melt the cable I was jumping it with. It did turn, just not too well.

 

it still sounds like a bad battery or maybe corroded battery cables and terinials
