Default Thinking about buying a Kazuma

I really think I am going to buy a Kazuma Meerkat 90cc. My kid is 3 and he was riding our friends kids Kazuma 50cc. He did so good on it and loved it. Do you think if I upgrade to the 90 it will be too much for him. I don't want him to outgrow it too fast.

Here he is on the 50cc..

One time I was at a yamaha shop and saw a suzuki lt80 and lt50. I didnt really notice a
difference, so you should go w/ the 90. You could probably fit honda trx90 parts on it, or
if you want, get a used trx90.

Although 3yo is a little young for a motorized quad the meerkat 50 is a great starter. The 90 will have tons more power and maybe more than he will ever use before he outgrows it. My son is just over 4 and he fits pretty well on the 50 but by this time next year he will outgrow. I am in the process of moving him up to the next size. It is only 2" taller than the meerkat so that should get him till about 6 maybe 7 unless he keeps growing like he is now he will outgrow it by 5. Toys are going to be expensive!!!

How much assembly is actually required when buying one of these. Sounds like more than I thought.

Welcome to the forum CadensDad, Like hoytultratec said its about 3 hrs or so to do it right. That includes draining/changing fluids. Loctiting all the smaller fasteners and doing what ever adjustments are necessary.

The kazuma mini 90 would be good, too. I think they also have a speed limiter on it. And its
not that much faster than a 50 atv. the Raceway site says the mini 90 goes 25 mph.

Hi all, I want to add my 2 cents. My daughter is 6 but very small (43" tall). We've had a Meerkat 50 for almost 1 1/2 year with few problems. My only warning is that the Meerkat has no suspension and when it gets rolling they bounce all over the place. I hold my breath when my daughter cranks it up.

I had my daughter sit on the Meerkat 50 (she's 4) and I could see that she would outgrow it in a very short time. The Meerkat 90 sounds good, but it's the same size as the 50. More power, but the same outgrowing issue with regard to physical size.

I need a quad in the 50cc to 90cc range that's bigger than the Meerkat, but not as big as a regular youth quad. The MeerKat 50 is 44" long, and 24" wide. Is there anyting that about 55" long and 31" wide give or take a couple of inches?

Oh yeah, and under $1,000.

Thanks,
Doug
