Default Talk me out of a Dingo-2 (New ATV report)

On unpacking from the crate, I felt a little dissapointed as it looked kinda small (when unasembled). I'm happy to say that this first impression was totally wrong. This thing is great. It handles our bumpy Missouri pastures with good comfort, even at speed, and glides over the occasional rut in a similar fasion as a more expensive utility ATV. It is massive enough that it feels big, not like a kids ATV. It started on the first try and runs strong. The hills I've tried so far have been no problem whatsoever. It sits high, which is great for traveling through overgrown (tall grass/weeds) fields. It tracks down our gravel roads rock steady. Even my 6 ft tall buddy who rides a Polaris was totally impressed.

So far the Falcon Deluxe and The KMZ-150 have completely exceeded my expectations. In this day and age, thats a rare thing.

Thanks for the help making the decision guys. And thanks to John at Raceway.

I've had a bit of time to wring this thing out a bit and am more impressed the more i ride it. My buddies Polaris easily outruns me in the open field of course, but I can run fast enough that he can cruise with me at decent speed. We've been cutting winding trails through the woods and I can definately keep pace with him on those. I've been plowing through very dense vegitation, running through and crossing creek beds, climbing hills e.t.c. In the woods, the only thing I can't compete on is crossing deep dry creek beds. I just don't have the ground clearance that he does so I sometimes have to find a shallower approach. The only substantial fault I've found is with the mounting of right front wheelwell/fender...whatever you call that thing. The mounting is a little cheesy. Bill, I don't know what kind of trailers you are pulling with yours, but I've just been pulling a little lawnmower type trailer loaded with a couple of chainsaws, gas and a medium sized cooler. I can't even tell its back there except for the rattle it makes.

This is clearly not enough ATV for pushing a snow plow or a set of discs or such things. But as far as having fun and light duty utility work, it has met every challeng I've put it to. I even ran off a jump at a buddies place a couple of times. I know this isn't recommended, and I don't plan on doing it any more, but I just had to see how it would handle it. The KMZ took it like a man, landed smoothly on all fours and didn't bottom out at all.

One last rave before I'm done rambling here. I love the size of the thing, I'm 5'-7" and 150 lbs. The big name brands just don't make a similar type ATV in this size range that I can find. It's big and powerfull enough for me, but small enough that I can man handle it a bit (lift it/drag it) when I have to.

I swear I don't work for Raceway I just love this thing!

Question for Bill,

You mentioned in another post that I should seal the electrical connections with rtv. Whats rtv? And can you advise on which connections are most critical?

Thanks in advance.

Glad to hear your happy with your purchase M104!! It sounds like all your research paid off.

I think bill was refering to RTV silicone and I would do all the connections with it.

Just to be fair in my review, I should mention that I am having the Auto choke problem which I've read about in other posts. Not to big a problem currently. It just requires a few extra starts and a bit of warm up time. If it becomes a problem when the weather turns cold, I may have to replace the carb or something. Other than that, I'm still quite happy with the machine.
