Jetmoto 200cc atv
#1
i got this machine in the middle of April. It was the first ATV i've ever owned, and after having it for a few months i have had a millione problems with it. first let me say, it flips over VERY easily. if you get it, buy the wheel spacers or else yourr pretty much guarenteed to flip over and hurt your self. this happened to me 2 times the same week, and i only ride it on dirt roads in a field near my house, i cant imagine trying to ride this thing on any tough terrain. Also, the chain falls off about ever 20 mins of riding. its a real pain in the *** to havee to get off and put it back on all the time. i even tried tightening it and it still falls off all the time. also, the handlebars are bent in 2 places on mine and the clutch handle broke off. i guess u cant blame the company for that because that happened by me flipping it. i also had my front left spindle raplaced because it grinded down while riding. dont know how that one happened. Ive also had to get a new starter motor because the gears grinded down in it so it didnt make contact. when i first got it i was riding in my yard and went to take a brake and noticed it was smoking. i lifted the seat up to see that the battery was so damn hot and leaking acid that all the wireing had melted. also, the headlights fell off. i could go on and on but im too pissed right now cause it broken, yet again. if your thinking about buying one for a kid or for yourself, my advice is to spend the extra money and get a yamaha, honda, kawasoki, or suzuki. something reliable and well built that can be counted on not to brake 24/7.

That sucks. I heard about these jetmoto 200s in another forum too, and obviously the jetmoto
200 isnt any good. And on all chinese bikes the battery always seems to have a problem.
Anybody whos reading this take steestars advice and get a different quad such as a used
yamaha blaster, honda trx250ex or something like that. They will more than likely last for
years w/out any major problems, or no problems at all.

No offense, but many of your gripes can be attributed in part to the rider. If you are new to quads, have you ever taken a safety course or recieved instruction on proper riding technique? Yes, wheel spacers will definately help with stability, although the first upgrade should be to your skill rather than the atv. You are right, can't really blame crash damage on the manufacturer in most cases. I would suggest once you get it fixed back up starting a routine regiment of checking nuts and bolts for tightness, and inspecting the entire machine for wear and tear before and after every ride. This is good practice for any off road vehicle, not just the cheaper brands. As for the battery, sounds like you may have had a short somewhere. A guy I was riding with one time had an airbox retention clip vibrate off and cause a direct short over the 2 terminals of his battery. Most likely his fault, probably never put the clip back on properly. The point is, freak things can happen. I do hope you get your Jetmoto running again and start to enjoy it though.

I have to agree with Scooter86 a little on this too. I have thought the Jetmoto's had a decent width stock and were fairly stable in corners if you lean some. I do agree that the handle bars are soft and would probubly bend if you rolled the quad and levers would break too. I run bark buster aluminum hand guards on all my dirt bikes because I got tired of buying levers. The battery/starter and the front spindle are a definite bummer. Did you ever get these things fixed steestar?
