Default Electric Choke Question

tichigin,
The choke and everything electric on the bike is 12 volts. I tested mine with a 12 volt converter I had just so I could see how it works. If your choke was to be stuck out you would have trouble starting cause it would be cutting off the extra gas needed to get going. I'm not a big fan of those carbs and had similar problems last year John at raceway got me a mikuni carb for mine and never had a problem since. I think the electric choke has a bad rap when it is really the carb. I don't know why the voltage is so low on your test but it has to be 12 volts. FYI- I had bought some small drill bits to test the jets on an off road golf cart I own and at the same time did some test on the old kazuma carb I had. Even though the main jet was stamped a 96 the drills showed it was barelly a 90 jet. I think the quality is not there. For tons of help try oregonvintage.com

The electric part of the choke is a heater coil so how it comes to be buzzing I can't imagine. Are you sure it isn't your starter solenoid buzzing, due to either a bad connection, flat battery, or seized engine?

The choke shouldn't get any electricity until the engine is running, as it gets it's power direct from the alternator (AC), I think you must have wired it wrongly. Some may work differently, but most are based on the Honda alternator driven design.
