Default valve ajustments

i see you had 28 hits on your question and nobody but me i guess can answer it, your valves should be set at .004 intake, .006 exhaust cold. what happens where there off a little, it effects the valve timing, this means if the valves are set a little loose the camshaft needs to rotate a degree or two before the valve starts to open which translate into a little loss of power and valve noise, a clicking sound, if the valves are set to tight, the camshaft starts to open the valve up sooner than it's surpose to, also having a tight valve can cause a valve to burn, also can make the engine hard starting because the valve may not be fully closed letting out compession, the valves are set when the engine cold, this is because metal expands when warm, it's better to set the valves up loose than tight, the little bit of power if any you loose will not be noticed, hope this aswer question,
