Default Battery in the Jetmoto 250 Sport

I think the battery has given out in the 250. I am assuming it's the battery since I can jump it and it will run. The engine has a magneto dosen't it? By that I mean it will run without a battery, the battery is for the lights, etc...

Question is is it a standard motorcycle size battery? I thought I saw someone post up here the Jetmoto battery is an odd sized Chinese battery.

I know that Auto Zone sells the same size bat for my Dingo 150. Try there.

Thanks, never thought about AutoZone. I guess I'll start there.

The Jetmotos will run with battery not hooked up! My 250's batteries are still going strong but the 150's have been junk for some time now. As long as I charge them the night before we go riding the 150's stay working, I think I will wait til next year to replace them all! I made jumper cables that I carry under the seat of my 250 so in case one won't start it's easy to jump them! Let us know where you find them, I think I read they are odd sized batteries to fit in the space and are not easy to find!

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I think I read they are odd sized batteries to fit in the space and are not easy to find! </end quote></div>FYI - I had to tighten the bolts on the steering tube on the new 150 (Aug 07 batch) and I discovered another battery compartment under the plastic panel that is underneath the front light housing. Not sure if it is the same size but might give you more options for battery sizes.

Well there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. It had just sat too long and had lost it's charge. One less thing needing replaced.

Good to hear, I wonder why they used a different battery for the 150's than the 250's. I would much rather have the 250 battery in them all.

here's the secret to owning a atv and not worrying about a battery problem, buy a deltran battery tender, they are completely automatic and charges at around .6 amps and are perfect for atv's and other small batteries they come with a wiring harness that connects to the battery so all you need to do is plug it in when not in use or unplug it when ready to ride, i use these on all my batteries and have yet have a battery failure, even after 2 years. cost runs around $30 but well worth it , the battery will last for years because the battery always stays charged and never discharges.
