Jetmoto 150 making strange noise

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Wing's, if it ran fine (Good) before it's not going to be jets now unless they are clogged.</end quote></div>
I have good gas flow and the cap does have vent holes.
Like I said, it has always been hard to start, but the stuttering is new. I had a hard time believing that the problem was the jets as well. So I asked John if he was sure that this was the problem since the stuttering has just started recently and he told me "absolutely". He feels pretty confident that this is it; I hope he's right.

Bummer.... would think something is in the carb and it needs to be cleaned.
The jets that come in the carb of the 150/200 and 250 are all the same. They come from the factory jetted lean to pass the CARB tests in CA. The same thing applies to any of the "off road" Hondas (CRX) Yamaha (WR), etc....
They all need to be rejetted to run well. I have the updated(larger) jets in all of my Jetmotos except for my 125. The jets dont fit the 125 or the 110.

here's a quick carbuator jetting class 101 on why now
their's only 2 thing that changes carbuator jetting, one is air flow, the other is air density, air density changes during the year, because heat rises ,in warn-hot months we have less air, cooler months we have more air, so if a atv was jetted from the factory lean to pass emissions, it would probably run fine in the summer months, but now that the temperature dropped the atv would now run lean. and this is why wings needs to make a jetting change, especially the pilot jet, some call it the slow jet or starter jet

Wings - Are you sure the chock cable is pushing the lever on the carb all the way off once the bike warms up? It seems like it could be an overrich condition that causes the bogging. I kinow on my 150 I double check to see the lever is all the way off after pushing in the choke cable ****.

This perked up my ears! I have no way to measure how sub-optimal the bike runs with a jet that is too lean. They both run quite smoothly, have good range, responsive, so they certainly are not running poorly. However, if I can get more power with a jet swap I'm all for it. Is there a thread on this already or could you offer a couple jet options and where to get them.

When John sent me the jets for the 250's I asked him about jets for the the 150's and he told me there are not different jet's to swap out for them. So seems he's singing a different tune now?
We will see if the new jets work, have you tried starting fluid? this will tell ya if it's a lack of fuel!

The 150/200 and 250 share the same carb as well as jet sizes. The 150 isnt in as much need for the larger jets as the 250 and 200 are, but they will be noticeable.

I'll check this this weekend. I plan on changing the jets this weekend (if they show up) since John and mywifesquad seem to believe they make a difference. I might as well change them, clean the carb, check the choke, and see if the problem is gone.
Should I also lower the C Clip on the Carb slider needle? If so, how low should it go?
Any detailed posts or info on changing the jets and cleaning the carb? Also, changing the clip position? I'd appreciate some links.
Thanks!

Last week I rode our blue 150 around the neighborhood and it started running quite bad and would die upon acceleration, looking into it I found the stock fuel filter has plugged. I had replaced one of my 250's now I need to buy 3 more filters.</end quote></div>
Do you know which filter to use for the 150?
Thanks
