Default JM 150 build questions

Just got a JM 150 for my nephew and have a couple of questions before I start the assembly. I've got a couple of China atvs of my own, so I am familiar with the basics.

I've just got to mention first that this is a purty good looking machine. I would also like to make you all aware of the fact that I've actually observed lock washers in several locations on the quad. Someone might need to report this to the authorities.

Joking aside, the little cardboard box full of goodies has 5 rubber washers and 5 metal washers. Where do these go?

Also, the manual says that when the oil is changed, it should be flushed with Kerosene. Is this really necessary? On my other machines, I just changed the oil again after about 5 hours use.

Default JM 150 build questions

I received and put together my JM 150 two weeks ago. I had the 5 rubber washers, 5 metal washers and 5 large head screws. I used two sets to secure the front headlight assembly to the body, and three sets were used to secure the plastic handlebar mount cover.

One other thing you didn't ask, but caused me to call Raceway for an answer, was the purpose of the two little green lights on the plastic handlebar mount cover. These lights serve no purpose on the 150. Apparently this same assembly is also used on the 200 and 250 which use these lights as a neuteral and reverse indicator.

I saw the reference to rinsing the engine with kerosine also. I have never heard of that before with any other bike or ATV I've had. I just changed the oil.

Outofline,

I'm not sure about the Hunter but the 250 sport has two lights that you install when you install the handle bar, the wires go down to a bunch of wires down to the front/below the fuel tank. There you find the small two wire clips that you plug them into the wire harness.
How do you like the Hunter so far, You are about the only one who has posted on here about having one, would love to see some pics or video of it!

Thanks for your quick response OOT. These bikes are Christmas gifts for my son and of course myself, so they are hidden in my shed. My son knows nothing about them. Trust me when I say that there will be plenty of pictures and video taken on Christmas morning! We can't wait!
