Default 07 Jetmoto 150's Brake Light?

I finally got around to replacing the fried ground wire. I also ground off the paint off the frame where it mounts under the coil. After taping it all back together I gave it a try and it fired right up. I decided to turn off the kill switch and crank a while. The little ground wire gets warm but doesnt fry itself now. Id guess it was a bad ground under the coil. Still cant get the brake lights to work, and the bulb looked good. Ill let you know what I figure out....

MWQ - if you are cranking and the secondary grounds get hot (smaller ground wires - green) it means that the starter circuit ground wire is NOT HEAVY ENOUGH to carry the starter current load and the current is looking for ANY path it can use to get back to the battery. NOT GOOD !!! Think of all the places that it could travel thru, like - the Charging System Black Box, The Ignition System Black Box, etc., etc. Do your self a real favor and replace those 16 guage (Heavy LOOKING - but not) cables - both red and green, coming off the battery with some good 10 guage wires.
Everyone forgets the ground system - what ever current goes out on the Red MUST find its way back on the Green. Imagine what it is doing to the Starter & Solenoid, having all that current forced thru a 16 guage wire (the rest of the thickness of the battery cable is just thick vinyl)

Thanks for the heads up NJDale. It works well now and doesnt get either wire warm at all. Im going to check the ground at the other green wire today just to be safe, even though all the ground wires feed into one. It would seem like separate ones would be better, but what do I know?
