this is my plain for easter sunday

well thought i'd show you where i am taking my vbike tomorrow.this guy i havent meet yet but he sounds great.this is on his private land of 30 arces ,says he has 2.5 miles of woodland trails that zigzag throught his land and a motocross track....so both in order of being tackled i think.the motocross track has some big jumps(not on vike ...yet!)and he built the track himself and he likes people to ride with him...now you have to sign a waver but you only have to make donation...may that be cash or time,i work as a land scaper so i can get back hoes and skidsteers and tractors(grading) or time as a marshall on the track....its all done properly and he has a lake and slide and zoo etc etc....just a nice honest guy it seems....no money making motive what so ever

Ok guys I back with an update. There are few changes from the 07 V4S to the 08. Here it goes:

Added hand guards.

Added handlebar pad.

Almost all hardware has self locking nuts, nice.

Fuel tank has changed fuel cap to metal locking cap, really nice. - see my pics.

Electric fan slightly changed.

Bottom ball joints no longer have greese zerks, top ones still do.

Thats it, everything else looks the same. The assembly went fast, alot less to locktite due to the self locking hardware. The engine fired right up and sounded great.

i never got a handlebar pad for mine????? and i forgot to mention about the new caps for fuel tank....btw does anyone have any thoughts on the fan.......mine is infront of the engine but there is no cover whatso ever so i am concerned that a stone could come up and shatter the fan....or am i missing a cover that should have come with it????

Bummer on the handlebar pad split, it's nothing great. I am going to get a nicer looking pad for mine.

The fan on my 07 and brother inlaws 08 don't have fan protectors. I cracked my fan shroud trying to make things fit better on my 07. I was thinking of looking for an automotive style fan for mine in the future. I could easily bolt somthing in front of the fan to protect it.

Just my opinion but I think the fans are more for show then function.I wouldnt put too much stock in them.

Ya I think it's not to important. I don't know if I am going to put to much effort in a retrofit.

right......made about 4 video yesterday.....gonna post on youtube tonight once home from work.........have come up against a MAJOR flaw in the vbike....the chain adjust doesnt work, basically i was throwing the bike around for 2 hrs solid and looked down at the chain and it was as slack as anything, the adjuster was already taking up as much slack as it could....AFTER 2 HRS OF RIDING?????

if i am honest this is not good and i am not impressed with this.the chain maybe a cheap one but after 2 hrs???? oh well i have seen that i can put a spacer in the adjuster to get me by but that will work for a short time to.

ok rant over

other than that....a very good day

Hey split, don't know if you know this but the chain tension is adjustable. You have to loosen the two big bolts holding the rear axle center housing. After lossening you then rotate the housing, one direction loosens and the other direction tightens it.

Glad to hear you got to ride it for a good long while, I havn't found the time yet.
