how much of a differance did you notice sgt ??? basically is it worth the money doing it for that kinda gain???

i have stuck my neck out and classed the engine as a CG250 honda engine about 80% sure but we dont know what year.(my dad was a honda dealer) what kinda info do you have about the bike? the more we can all find out the better for the greater good.

btw my vbike is 2 weeks old and about 6hrs on it and the tapping on mine is noticable, but not a issuse.only concern i have from a tapping sound is a blocked oil jet or something like that.when people ask what the bike runs like i say "very rustic" dont get me wrong it runs great with abillity but not a lot of finesse

Nice Videos Split, I do really like the sound of the Vbike 250, it sounds more on line with my 150 then our 250's! Where is England did you likve? For a couple years I lived in the Midlands and upwards to south Wales and loved it there! Sure miss a good Chippy!
Can't wait to see more pics and videos this year from you Vbike guys!

i lived in surrey in the south about 10 miles from the center of london.yep i must confess i miss fish and chips.....cant beat a whole side of a atlantic cod to yourself in batter and real 'CHIPS' and not french fries (that never came from france lol) i make my own chips here but cant get mushy peas....oh well coney dogs and mexican for junk food now then lol.have had a couple of issues more with the vbike, noticed today i have mud in the light on the front...and the rear brake now is nothing there at all.....think the cyclinder on the foot brake is broken....pumped it three times then bleed then three then bleed etc etc and no pressure build up what so ever.was at it for 4-5 mins constant and had my buddy on it braking so i could do the valve....nothing what so ever, got to 745pm and i packed the bike away. Any ideas??? if you open the bleed valve and stomp the rear brake fluid comes out,but the tinyest amount,so some force is getting through ,but maybe force is to strong a word. dribble maybe

Hi split, I do have a little experience with the rear brakes on the Vbike. When I first got my bike I didn't have any rear brake hydraulic pressure.

At first I did what you did, I tried to bleed them as you would normally do. I then removed the linkage from the brake pedal and let the rod come out of the master cylinder as far as it would. I rigged up a block and prybar and pumped the cylinder the full stroke several times, then cracked the bleed screw. Wala, it bleed perfect. I did this a couple more times and had great rear brakes.

To hook the brake pedal back up you need to push the rod back into the cylinder a little. Hope this helps.
