Default Chinese ATV's

Can someone help me. Its my understanding that their are several Chinese manufactures that make the same ATV, but the quality of each manufacture is very different some decent, and others are terrible. Jet Moto is one that I've heard good things about so I went with the alpine 90cc which is being distributed by jet moto. I have found several atv's on the internet that look identical to mine with brand names such as Roketa, Sunl, Top tom, Tao Tao and the list goes on and on. Some of these brands I've read terrible stories about. Does anyone know if there is a difference between these brands or are they the same mini quad with a different name? Thanks guys

Alot of the chinese atvs will use the same engine and trans, and alot of the same parts. Some use a better quality of plastic for the body and some use a little better quality wiring. The Alpine brand is a little better because they are using a better battery, fuel line, fuel filters,NGK sparkplugs and a better carb with a fuel shut-off valve. You are also dealing with a company that stands behind their atvs with parts and tech help.

I got one of those Alpine Jetmoto units sold by Raceway, the Renegade. Bought it for my son for Easter. I charge the battery before every ride as its dead. There is no fuel shut off valve, and the fuel line or filter drips fuel. I'm glad I didn't get one of the cheaper varieties.

But for the most part my son does get a lot of fun out of it. These short comings are what I have accepted for the low cost. As long as the big dollar parts don't break and the little parts are still available I won't have any complaints.

Yea the dealer I bought it from warned me about the battery. I keep a float charger on it when not in use. I allow the kids to ride in flat, open fields only with full riding gear. I follow them with my finger on the ignition kill remote. I keep the motor restricted cause man that thing rips with me on it. I'm using the alpine to introduce them to the sport. I'm fairly impressed with it so far and thinking of getting another one so both of my girls have their own. Thanks for response guys. Any other comments would be appreciated.

Sorry, I should have said the upgrades were not available untill may. I got both of my Alpines the first week of may. They both have upgrade fuel line and filters, a battery with a warranty, ngk sparkplug and a carb with a fuel shut off valve built into the carb. I dont have any battery problems with mine since I put master switches on both of them. You can get one at radio shack for less than 5 bucks.

Welcome to the forum wrangler907!

I have heard there are 3 levels of engine builders/quality. All look very simlilar if not identical. The quads are basically the same way...with even more "copies"....they all look very similar if not identical. Its a get what you pay for situation most of the time. The more you pay the more updates and or higher grade components used and or support after the sale, etc...

If your chinkmobile has a remote start/alarm, be user to hit the UNLOCK after every ride. If you keep the alarm in an armed state, it consumes battery power. I know it defeats the purpose of having an alarm, but I've had great luck with the battery by doing this.
