Default Wrecked my Hunter 250!

My accident was on April 12th so I was out about 5 wks. I can't tell you exactly what happened because I was knocked unconscious and I don't remember anything. All I know is that I woke up in Shock Trauma down at the University of Maryland and apparently I was flown there in a helicopter. The only thing I can figure is that I must have come down my neighbors driveway and hit the gravel rd, lost control, went into a ditch and was ejected from my quad.
I've still got a lot of pain but the Dr says Im healing ok. My ribs are fractured in 3 places, my scapula is fractured, and Ive got some minor issues with my shoulder. My ATV is ok except Im going to have to replace the plastic on the back. The handle bars may have turned a little bit but Im hoping they won't be too hard to straighten out. Im just happy to be alive! Like I said, I don't know what happened but I pray to God it never happens again. I can't wait to ride my 4 wheeler again but I will definately be more careful in the future.

Wow, what a story! I'm surprised the wife allows you to get back on the atv! Hope you get better soon and best of luck with the Hunter!

Wow gone64! Sounds like your darn lucky to still be here. Glad it didnt turn out any worse.... 2 suggestions for next time....SLOW DOWN and ALWAYS wear your helmet.

Next time youll want to be awake for the helicopter ride. (sarcasmsmiley)

No, Im still waiting for replacement for the rear plastic. I have however rode my son's Dingo 150 (very slowly and with a helmet!). I just sat on it the first time hoping that I would have some kind of flashback on my accident.....but nothing came.
I think I scared Chris, because he has not ridden his atv since my accident. By the way, I always made sure that he rode with his helmet.....I just didn't apply the same rules for myself.
