Jet Moto Need Non-Bias Opinions

That new V is a nice looking atv but I just can't see why they went Drum brakes on front? If it had Disc that would have been a real winner all around! Everyone I have heard that has a Chinese atv seems to say the Drum brakes are next to worthless. It looks like the same water cooled engine Viva use to use on one of thier ATV's at least it was the same green and water cooled. Looks as if Viva is no longer around.

Thanks for the pics axl_rose. Very nice looking. Nice to see different plastics on a Chinese Quad. Must have cost a buck or 2 to copy the Kawasaki plastic but it was well worth it.

I would imagine to keep the costs down, same as using that tire set which looks to be the same as the ones on my Jet 150.

Even if it added $100 or even two to add Disc I don't think any one would have complained, $1499 still would be much cheaper then the superior Jetmoto that has disc! Just my opinion! If your going to build such an aggressive (looking) atv why cut costs at brakes! Ya some nobbie tires would have completed the look!

Yes put some nice rubber on it, upgrade the brakes, not sure about the rear suspension but yes it sure could be done up pretty nice. By the way what's a new Jet 250 go for in the US these days anyway?? $2K??
Or take the Jet 250 and bolt on that pastic package.

All I can say is be careful of that watercooled engine, we have seen alot of problems with them here in the shop & also trying to get parts for them has been a B**ch There really is no reason for a 200cc machine to have liquid cooling on it...air or oil is all it needs. Its just one more problem that could happen... just a word to the wise. I will say this... its a nice looking machine for sure, very sharp.

Raceway has the Jet 250 for $1899. I noticed that Vbike has no V decals so you may see the same unit in many other brands here soon. Can't wait to hear reports on them or a glimpse on a video between repairs!
I had read back a while ago about Chinese water cooled was not a good choice!

spliffy I would have to agree with you. One thing I've learned owning MIC toys the last 4 years is the simplier in design the better! The air cooled 250's in that application are fine, throw in an oil cooler even better for hot climates. It could be the water cooled engine was cheaper to source so they went with it.
I don't know why they want to compicate things always!

Well, I made my decision and I am going with the 250-V4D Sport Utility from Vbike. As soon as my Efile comes in from the IRS I will hand a part of it over to China! LOL. I am excited.

Hey that bike is good deal. The V4S seems to be the popular one everyone has but that V4D model with the racks and fenders would be handy too.
You sure as heck can't beat the price! Let us know how it works out.
