I got the wiring straightened out (thanks to LynnEdwards). Now I have another problem know compression. The valves seem to be working right. I was thinking the rings are bad. Any ideas it is a vbike 250 v4s. Thanks, David

 

put a few drops of oil in the spark plug hole, hold you thomb on the hole, if you have more compression then before its you rings, if the same its your valves

 

Had a bent intake valve. It's fixed now.

 

A bent valve would certainly lower compression.. Good deal getting it fixed...Where did you get the valve? or did you straighten the bent one? Did you do all the work yourself?

 

I got all my patrs at Chinese ATV Parts, Kazuma ATV Parts, Sunl ATV Parts, Roketa ATV Parts, BMX ATV Parts! good guy to work with. He hooked me right up. I replaced the head gasket and the one on bottom ot the jug. Also replaced the rings sence I was that close. Got $200 in the whole thing including buying it and getting a new battery.

 

Sounds like you got a good deal ... and a new engine!
