I have got a chinese 650cc UTV - I think it is a Dongfang K11. An ebay buy (yes we all live and learn)The UTV is on the madeinchina website in the asascooter showroom! Problem is that the gearbox failed on me and I cant find ANYONE who has either heard of of it or knows where I can get parts. I have had an ATV mechanic take the box apart and it appears to be a shaft connecting the drive shaft and the 2wd/4wd shaft - problem is I dont have a manual and the offending item pushed itself through into the clutch housing and half? of it was immediately ground down - so I dont even know what the entire component looks like to get a new one machined. Can anyone shed any light?

 

Do you mean Dongfeng? I know DF makes farm tractors and importers bring them into the states and Canada. Used to at least. I'd just keep Googling the heck out of "Dongfeng" and "650cc UTV", you'll come up with something eventually.

I know these guys in Canada have sold a lot of the Chinese side by side UTV's over the years.

i also have the very same issue, looking for a starter to my DF 650.

I have a superstrong feeling that those machines are more or less copies of existing models. Anyone that has any clue?

 

I don't think the Chinese makers copied other UTVs as closely as they did engines and ATVs, though they will have taken a look at other makers stuff when designing them, as do all manufacturers. Engine will however probably be a clone of another make and starter will be generic. Just googled Dongfang and got https://bdxperformance.com/products/...e-tech-support spares site is the usual confused jumble of parts for different models but someone there may be able to help.
