Help please. Stuck in reverse.

I could use some advise please.
I have a 2007 SUNL ATV 200cc stuck in reverse. My mechanical ability is such that I was able to take the cover off, but although I see the clutch plates and such, I do not know what else to poke at.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Does it look sort of like this inside http://www.panterramotors.ca/pdf/AT2...ember%2006.pdf This is a 250 its probably different.
1st I'd try the rocking it back and forth good while trying to shift it.

I was working on a 1998 Timberwolf that was stuck in 5th gear. I think it had been in the water and sit up after that. I got it running and after rocking it back and forth it started shifting. I'm thinking the gear was rusted on the shaft and after running a little the oil lubed it enough to break it loose.

It does not quite look like that. close, but different.
I tried rocking it back and forth, but to no avail.
Is there somewhere where i can get the schematics or a technical manual?

Welcome to the forum martinatv! 
The shift drum is below and to the left of the clutch basket.. You may be able to see it with the basket on..may have to come off..not sure...it is rotated by a pair of fork like levers attatched to the end of the shift shaft..They push and pull on pins on the shift drum to shift up and down.. Id guess one of the "fork ends" is bent and wont rotate the drum out of reverse..
Can you take a picture of your engine with the side cover off and post it?

The shift drum is below and to the left of the clutch basket.. Here is the picture of the guts from one side. The shift lever is connected to the "bottle opener" looking thing. I am sure it is supposed to rotate the "six-dotted star" below it. but it does not. The star appears jammed from the other side. I can pry it with a bid screw driver to go from "R" to an odd symbol, but not to "0" neutral, or any of the other gears.
I dissassembled the other side and that is where the alternator resides. I am sure there is something behind it, though.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Good job finding the shift drum. Id try rocking the quad back and forth while trying to rotate the shift drum...Might be easier if you removed the shift lever and pulled the shaft thru from the side you took the pic. You will want to make sure the shift shaft is very clean before pulling it thru the cases...you pull it past the seal and any dirt will damager the seal..
If you cant get it out of reverse that way the cases will need to be split..
