I have an Apollo 2008 with an Odes 400 engine. When I try to start, the started will engage for about 4 turn over of the engine,then stop, I release the button and push again,same reaction, turns over and stops. Any thoughts?

Thanks for getting back to me..This sounds like a big job to install a new starter clutch. Is it? I can find no info or little on this odes 400. I guess that is why a friend gave it to me

 

If it is a starter clutch, and it is a Honda 350 clone, it is a big job and you need a Honda 350 flywheel puller. My advice, take it to a quad mechanic to check if it is the starter clutch, even if you decide to tackle the job yourself, all that work, then finding it was another problem, is annoying. A Honda 350 workshop manual would help you.

 

change the starter is not big job but if you are going to open engine and change anything inside yes is big . I did open my son engine more than 6 time and mechanic 4 time and lots of $$$$ and problem is not resolve
