Merryman

Went through the steps of things to do and go it starting!!! Thank you very much for the info.

Hopefully 1 last question for you. Idling seems a little rough but nothing crazy. When I hit the throttle the exhaust makes loud pops but stops while idling. I checked the exhaust and saw the pipe was undone from the engine. I put it back in place and tightened it down but the popping noise continues. I did not see a gasket/seal for the exhaust - is there one needed/missing? The exhaust is rusty - maybe there is a hole somewhere?

Was planning on possibly replacing the exhaust but have not really found a site for exact replacement - not sure if this would be the best option. If so does anyone know of a site to purchase a replacement exhaust?

Bad spark plug maybe?? The popping noise/smoke appears to be coming from where exhaust goes into motor which is also near spark plug.

Glad you got it running. There should be a sealing ring between cylinder head and exhaust pipe. Sort this out, treat it to a new plug, and use the bike for a while before trying to alter anything, often a bike that has sat a while needs time to settle in to running again.

Is this normal - half of the 1 side missing? It looks like a piece has been cracked off. What would the seal look like for this?

If this piece is damaged whats the piece called so I can replace it? Thanks

Recon you last pic is the inlet side of the cylinder head. Yes, there may be a bit broken off, but there is a complete circle of exhaust port where the sealing ring sits, and the two stud holes are OK, so the broken part doesn't matter a bit. Get a sealing ring and fit it.

Would this be what the sealing ring looks like?

Could be, any I have seen for the Honda Cub clones is like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seal-exhaust-around-35x43-5x5-3mm-Honda-Lead-100-SCV100-08/291967647080?fits=UKM_Make%3AHonda%7CUKM_CCM%3A110 &hash=item43faa0bd68:g2kAAOSw5YNZt5s1 but may just be from a different manufacturer.

So I adjusted the carb and the popping noise when the throttle is pressed stops. Only issue now is when I start the atv it seems to be idling ok. When I hit the throttle then let off of it the atv rolls forward by itself without me touching anything. Could a high idle be the reason?

Yes, you need to set the throttle stop screw as slow as possible without stalling. It will rise a bit as the engine warms anyway, once off choke.
