Default Issues with Old Quad

Hello all.
New to forum. Hope I have read all prerequisite posts and searched all current posts and am posting in right section.
I live in NSW Australia and was recently given an old Ag quad bihe. The only decal still visible idents the quad as a BLT250ST-B. I assume it is a 250cc model. It is an auto with ma T-bar reverse handle on the side of the engine. I was told it was a 'Ballistik'?
The bike used to turn over but not start due to a broken carb intake manifold preventing fuel/air getting sucked through. A really rough repair to this manifold would get the bike going but not recently. My troubles atm are two fold.
1. For the life of me can't find a replacement for via the net for a replacement carb intake manifold and the only dealer I can find Australia wide has no idea either (yep, that's right - 1 dealer for Ballistik in Aust and they are completely useless.
2. Whilst trying to source a replacement manifold, I tried to wire a new LED front light into the existing handlebar light wiring and only managed to lose all power when I tried the light after I (obviously) incorrectly wired it in. The neutral light was on when I tried the light but immediately went out after pushing the light switch on. I thought I had blown a fuse so after pulling the LED light back out, I found the main 25A fuse still in tact.
I now have no idea what electrical issue I have created. Stupid to say the least.
I really hope there is someone in this forum who can shed some light and provide some sorely needed help on either of these issues.
Regards
Frustrated Farmer

Perth Quad bikes will import them, and have dreamed up the "Ballistic" name themselves, so you need to know the actual maker. If you can find the vin, this may tell you, when shoved through a vin decoder. The engine number may shed some light on which Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha engine it is a copy of, and a good side view picture of the engine would help with identification. As for the electrical problems, start logically, best with a 12v test lamp, does it light at the fuse? If yes, does it light at the ignition switch, keep going until you find somewhere it should light but doesn't, the fault is between where it did and didn't light.
