Linhai 260 slow start

literally popped off the nut, removed old clutch, put on new clutch and put nut back on. Front pulley wasn’t touched. Reason for replacing was the weight springs had fallen out.

The word clutch has been misused by makers of variator drives for a long time, so I have no idea if you are referring to the clutch, which is centrifugal, or a variator pulley which makers insist on calling a clutch, but isn't. Either way, the pulley assembly and belt would have to come off and the rollers inside the pulley assembly could have got "out of bed"

There is another set of centrifugal weights, in the variator pulley, depends on design but, with no belt to hold them in place, some may have got out of their channels, so stopping the pulley from sliding in and out properly. Worth taking a look at it.
